Despite the rumors that have emerged since last night, when Leo Messi (and his Inter Miami) were eliminated from any chance of reaching the MLS playoffs, Lionel Messi is not thinking about going out on loan to any club right now or enjoying any vacations.
Rumours had suggested that Messi could go on loan to Barcelona or another club for the months that Inter Miami will have no fixtures, i.e. from now until the start of the 2024 MLS season.
The league schedule has not yet been published, but it is likely to start in late February or early March 2024, as this year, MLS started on 25 February, for example.

Rumours gave Messi a five-month long stint, but that’s not the case either.
Inter, the team paying Messi for a full season, still has two MLS regular league games: October 18 and 21, both against Charlotte FC, as one is postponed on the day.
Therefore, on that day, October 21, the MLS season ends for Leo, but his commitments to Inter continue, as the team will continue training and, in addition, the club may plan some exhibition matches to finish the season.
But that’s not all: Messi also has four other commitments with Argentina in 2023.
Firstly, Paraguay and Peru, clashes for which Leo will be concentrating on immediately, but in November, the Albiceleste have another double date for the World Cup qualifiers: against Uruguay and Brazil.
The South American Clasico will be on November 21, so while Leo may take a vacation, it won’t be a long one.
In January, Inter Miami are already waiting for him to restart training, as they want to start a full season, and with everyone, to aspire for every title.
That is unlike this season, in which the late incorporation of Leo, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets has penalised them.
In addition, it may be that before the start of MLS 2024, Inter will be called upon by the ConcaChampions, which has sometimes started a little before the start of the regular season.
For now, there’s no transfer to anyone and no immediate vacation in Messi‘s plans.
