The rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo went their separate ways with the Portuguese’s departure to Saudi Arabia and the Argentine’s decision not to follow him by rejecting the million-dollar offer to embark on an adventure with Inter Miami in the MLS.
Saudi Arabia is not giving up on its dream of having Messi in its league. With Inter Miami no longer able to reachthe MLS playoffs, and Argentina out of action for four months, they are already preparing a loan offer that allows them to have one last episode of the rivalry against Ronaldo.
